Say What???

Ever had your girl circle broken?  I have.  It never feels good losing a friend to dumb stuff, especially a good good good girlfriend.  However, just like with most things in life, everything happens for a reason.  Let me share a little story with you all.

A few years ago, a friend of mine (we'll call her Shelly) told me about a rumor she heard about another friend of mine (we'll call her Naomi).  Shelly and Naomi weren't close but associates through me.  The rumor was basically that my home girl Naomi was in the streets doin her thang (read between the lines). Without disclosing names, I went to (Naomi) and told her to chill out because the streets were talkin.  I hated for a woman's name and character to be dragged through the dirt. I knew what the streets was saying about because Naomi was my girl and we shared a lot of girl talk.  During my convo with Naomi I didn't share my source. That didn't stop Naomi from asking her circle of friends who may have shared her personal business.

The relationship I had with all with all my girls is that I will always keep it 100 and look out for you no matter what.  Naomi respected that.  Shelly on the other hand thought I betrayed her.  How sway?  I'm not the girl who will continue to gossip and spread rumors and lies.  I will go to the source and get to the bottom of things.  Naomi acknowledged that yea she may need to chill out and respected what I said.  Shelly hated me after that.  Being friends for so long I just knew we would be able to talk it out.  Well....that wasn't the case.  I didn't talk to Shelly for close to 6 or 7 years. Two years ago we finally made a mends.  Shelly felt as though I should have been loyal and not have said anything, which I understood.  We will never be as close as we were. I was happy at the fact that we were eventually able to talk about the situation.
